Internship offer in Tourism, reception and animation in Malta


Information about the company that’s offering the internship:

This prestigious hotel is ranked as one of the best luxury hotels of the whole island because of its high quality in services, luxurious facilities, and its great variety of Deluxe rooms that they offer to tourists.

Located in one of the most touristic areas of Malta, this hotel is surrounded by plenty of luxury bars, restaurants, clubs and of course, a wonderful atmosphere full of mesmerizing and classy landscapes.

Their internships offers cover many areas. These include receptionism, kitchen & gastronomy, F&B, Guest Relations, and call center. During the internship the student will be supervised by a tutor who will support them throughout the whole process of acquiring new techniques and knowledge.

Students who have the privilege of being accepted by this hotel will receive benefits such as their uniform and daily meals.

There are other two options regarding the accommodation and benefits, that can vary according to the availability of the hotel and the volume of intern:

-Accomodation included during the internship period + € 300 gross / month + benefits

-No included accommodations during the internship period, but € 685 gross / month + benefits

The applicants must have a high level of English, and another language is highly appreciated. The internship period must be at least 5 months long, and those students who wants to do 3 to 4 months of internship won’t have the included accommodations offer.


Internship tasks:

During the internship, the student will help in the elaboration and support specific tasksof his department.

It is important that the student has  an excellent level of English inasmuch as it is the main language in the company.

  • Welcoming new clients and making room registrations.
  • Informing guests about hotel services, spa, restaurant and activities offered by the hotel.
  • Provide information on restaurant schedules and breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
  • Provide information on tourism in Malta.
  • Ensure that the hotel’s occupancy record is kept up to date and check in and out.
  • Keep the reception well presented.
  • To do their best to solve any incident with joy and tranquillity.
  • Ensure that payments are complete before check-out.
  • Welcoming groups of tourists in different languages.
  • Contacting clients by phone.

Requirements for the applicant:

Studies

Tourism, Communication, Hotel or similar

Required languages

English – C1

Desired experience

It would be a plus

IT skills

Social media, Windows and Oddice Pack, Excel

Other requirements

An active and sociable person who is willing to learn and develop his knowledge
