Information about the company that’s offering the internship:

This is a very special travel agency in Barcelona because it not only deals with organising holidays for groups of tourists but also coordinates participation in events such as Formula 1 or Moto GP, and offers tickets and trips to theme parks in general.

The agency has years and years of success in the city, and for a long time has had one or two interns to assist in the tasks like coordination of groups, bookings, corporate communication and customer service in general for the whole Europe. Internships are paid and the working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, with a break for lunch at midday.


Internship tasks:

This internship is for a student who speaks foreign languages, is interested in tourism and travelling, and eager to learn about e-commerce and social media. The main tasks of this internship are:

  • regsitering bookings from clients who call or write, using an internal platform
  • informing and advising clients in order to confirm a reservation of a trip, event or activity
  • managing changes in bookings: follow-up on events, modifications, cancellations etc.
  • helping create and promote the website, social media and/or blog content
  • helping with the adminsitartive prepartion of events: writing and sending e-mails, newsletters, bying tickets and authorisations etc.
  • implementing commercial actions such as promotions in order to receive more clients
  • on occasion, assisting or accompanying groups to the events
  • preparing and presenting budgets and charging clients
  • ensuring that all payments are done within deadlines, or informing the manager about the lack of payments

*The biggest number of employees and clients of this company are French, therefore French is the language most commonly used in their offices.


Requirements for the applicant:

Studies

Tourism, Business, Administration, Languages, Communication, International Relations etc.

Required languages

French – Native
English – B1
Spanish – B1

Desired experience

Valued experience in business or in customer service

IT skills

MS Windows, MS Office, Internet, social networks

Other requirements

Kind and cheerful personality, good customer service skills
