We are talking about a 5-star hotel, famous on the Canary Islands for its beautiful structure and fantastic service, one that has provided internship experiences to students from all over Europe over the years; it´s a company who really offers training experience.

Front Office, Booking, Administration, Quality Control, Purchasing and Food&Beverage are only a few departments in which this great luxury tourist company has placed interns since before 2010, always thanks to their wonderful HR coordination and tutors in charge of interns. With many interns at the same time, the experience turns out to be more dynamic.

It is worth mentioning that all interns accepted by this great hotel have free accommodation and 3 meals a day, also provided by the company. The weekly work schedule is 5 days, with 2 days off a week to enjoy in this magnificent place.


Internship tasks:

This public relations internship in Spain, in a 5 star hotel, is for a student with interest in tourism as well as in communication and, in addition, it is of interest to be in permanent contact with clients and guests of different nationalities with a clear purpose: Make your hotel experience pleasant and spot the points where the hotel could improve.

So, the main tasks of the public relations internship in this 5-star-hotel are:

  • Welcoming clients in the entrance of the restaurant during the service of breakfast and dinner. 
  • Direct contact with clients in order to know their opinion on their stay via the use of an electronic questionnaire. 
  • Prepare welcome cards and bonuses for clients. 
  • Manage press and journalist lists for VIP clients. 
  • Checking and preparation of the information card for events and sports. 
  • Customer service via telephone and in a personal way in the office. 
  • Sales and Information about the Hotel’s Services and Excursions. 
  • Checking of the VIP lists and assignment of VIP care. 
  • Management of Restaurant Reservations in the Hotel and confirmation with clients. 
  • Interdepartmental communication through Service Orders. 

Requirements for the applicant:

Studies

Languages, Tourism, Hotel Management, Communication, PR

Required languages

Spanish – B1
English – B1

Desired experience

Previous experience in tourism, hotels or customer service is a plus.

IT skills

MS Office, Internet

Other requirements

The person should show an educated and elegant behavior, have a good way of communicating and working with clients
