Internship tasks:

This event management internship will take place in a magnificent 5-star hotel in Costa Brava, and it will be supervisde by the event  management team.

The goal id to help plan and contract new events, meetings and ceremonies.

The main tasks of this internship will be:

  • showing the services offered by the hotel (such as events, weddings, ceremonies, celebrations of all kinds) to potential clients
  • showing budgets to the potential clients
  • publishing the hotel´s offer on the internet
  • keeping close contact with tour operators, travel agencies, and other organisations that could provide clients
  • coordinating the customer relations from the moment of offering them services to the point of signing the contract and celebrating the event
  • callaborating actively during those events by communicating with all involved departments; e.g. with the kitchen if the event includes buffet or dinner
  • managing the suppliers and amking sure that the hotel has all necessary materials for the contracted events (decorations, gifts, food etc.)

Studies

Tourism, Business, Administration, Languages, Communication, International Relations

Required languages

Spanish – B2
English – B2

Desired experience

Valued commercial experiences, or in event management

IT skills

MS Windows, MS Office, Internet, social networks

Other requirements

Valued business, negotiation, and organisation skills
