Information about the company that’s offering the internship:

This internship will take place in an amazing hotel group that includes hotels of 4 and 5 stars. This organisation has hotels in different locations throughout Spain and even in Mexico. They offer amazing resorts, with luxury rooms, restuarants and magnificient pools. One of their hotels is an eco hotel, which has earnt the group great recognition within the industry. 

This group has 8 hotels located in Benidorm, Ibiza, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Lanzarote in Spain. In Mexico they have resorts in Cancún, los Cabos and Playa del Carmen. 

In their team they have had various interns and students in all of the departments: reception, PR, tourism, kitchen, as well as events and animation. 

The interns who have the pleasure of doing their internship in this hotel will have use of accommodation (10 minutes from the hotel), which is shared with other students, as well as meals and a monthly salary. They will be accompanied by the Head of the Department throughout the internship in order to make sure that the student has a full formation in all of the relevant tasks. 


Internship tasks:

This practice takes place in a 5-star hotel and focuses especially on the following tasks:

  • Quote of groups and events.
  • Show the hotel to groups for events.
  • quote and reply to all emails with the different requests specific to each event.
  • Perform proforma invoices. Track payments made and claim, where applicable, unpaid amounts.
  • Perform programs, memos, and service orders.
  • Make budget and material order to external companies. ( Tablecloth, chairs and tables, flower centres, dj, sound equipment, audiovisual material)
  • Check roomings list, room prices, notes, etc.   and billed before passing the information to reservations and reception;n.
  • Perform minutes, seatings, signage and demás necessary material for events.
  • help assembly and monitor that everything is perfect before each event,
  •  Be during the development of the event available to both the client and the department heads and solve any problems that may arise.
  • Check the customer’s satisfaction after the event is over and check that all invoiceism is correct.
  • Perform the cost analysis for each event.
  • archive files and sort them,
  • also collaborate with the commercial deputy, making price comparisons, scanning contracts, etc.

The goal, considering that it is a 5-star hotel, is to offer a value to añadid by means of a close treatment with the guests inside the hotel so that their experience is unblossible.
