If you´re lucky enough to do your internship in this company, you´ll undoubtedly remember it till the end of your life: it´s a great 5-star hotel, located (obviously) in one of the most beautiful spots in Europe: the Canary Islands.

This hotel, like many others around, has hundreds of rooms and suites with sea views, swimming pools and a spa, 24-hour reception, internet, parking, etc. A dazzling structure where for years hundreds of students have done their internships at the reception, in public relations, entertainment, booking managament, or in the kitchen or restaurant.

It´s noteworthy that its team of experts has great experiences with interns from countries such as Germany, France and Italy, among many others: they know how to offer a real internship experience.

The interns´ working hours are 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. The daily shifts can be split or continuous depending on the position and  the season. All internships are paid, and provide free accommodation and meals.

Internship tasks:

This paid hospitiliy and gastronomy internship in a 5 star hotel seeks a student of tourism with interest in practicing his customer care skills as a waiter or waitress in restaurants and bars.

The intern has a schedule of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week: During the work days s/he will normally help during two meals. Thus, the tutor will inform you each week about your schedules and during which meals you will work each day: Breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner, or breakfast and dinner.

The main tasks are:

  • Arrange tables and prepare food before the meals: Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.
  • Attend the  guests by serving food at the buffet place or taking orders in the à la carte restaurant.
  • Attend guests in the beverage area.
  • Guide the guests regarding the gastronomic offer.
  • Make sure that the facilities are always clean and available to customers.
  • Respond to customers´ requests and concerns in a nice and friendly way.
  • Arrange the tables after the meal: Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

Required languages

English – A2

Desired experience

Experience in gastronomy in hotels or restaurants is appreciated

A minimum level of English is required to interact with the team and guests
