Internship in Kitchen assistant in a hotel resort – Canary Islands in Islas Canarias

This paid cooking internship in a 5-star hotel aims at activating the intern in the kitchen area by making him/her participate in preparing food, and develop knowledge about cuisine.

The intern has a schedule of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week: During the work days s/he will normally help during two meals. Thus, the tutor will inform you each week about your schedules and during which meals you will work each day: Breakfast and lunch, or lunch and dinner, or breakfast and dinner.

The main tasks are:

• Prepare the kitchen before the meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Cutting vegetable, fruit, meat, fish, seafood etc. and prepare them for cooking.
• Helping prepare dishes
• Preparing sauces
• Learning the recipes of international, regional and Mediterranean cuisine
• Helping prepare the menus
• Helping organise and clean the kitchen
