This 2-star hotel is located in a residential area in the centre of Madrid, a few minutes away from the main tourist attractions. Their team is versatile, and they are all responsible for various tasks. Students are also trained as such, to improve learning and show how different departments of the hotel are managed, especially reception and F&B.

Shifts are rotating, usually 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm. Located in Malasaña, a quarter full of culture in the centre of the capital.

This location is excellent if you want to walk to Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Palacio Real, the Almudena catedral or El Prado, Thyssen or Reina Sofía museums, to La Plaza 2 de Mayo or the financial centre of Colón. This hotel is also very well connected with the airport and metro stations such as Arocha, Chamartin, and Nuevos Ministerios. It´s 5 stops away from Santiago Bernabeu stadium (Real Madrid) and 8 stops away from Vicente Calderón stadium (Atlético de Madrid).

It has 64 rooms, buffet breakfast service, and a 24-hour bar. Quality service is provided by the versatile and international team.

To facilitate the students´ experience this hotel offers shared accommodation within its premises, and access to the staff cantine at breakfast. It also offers monthly financial aid. The group that owns this hotel has been collaborating with us since 2010, and is recognised throughout the European Union by providing its students with excellent training in the departments such as front office, booking, events, management, food¬beverage and as Assistant Director.

Its team is multicultural and its main customers are business representatives and families of Spanish and French origin. Given the characteristics of the internship, the student will be immersed in the Spanish culture and thus will be able to improve their level of language, and have a quality experience in the world of tourism.

Internship tasks:

The hotel has a multi-skilled team in charge of customer service in its various areas.

The internship will be at the Reception, with support to the F&B team at breakfast, at the bar and the restaurant.

The intern will be trained in various customer service areas:

  • Welcoming and informing guests
  • Check-in and check-out
  • Billing
  • Booking management and the internal software
  • Giving information about the hotel´s services, tourist information etc.
  • General support in the daily tasks of the department
  • During the breakfast buffet – customer service, as well as setting and cleaning the tables, and answering clients´ requests
  • At the bar and the restaurant: serving drinks, setting and cleaning the tables, customer service

€ 200 gross (approx. 190 net) / month + breakfasts

Working hours

Monday to Sunday (rotating) – 5 days a week (2 days off)

7 a.m. to 3 p.m. / 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. (rotating shifts, 35/40 hours a week)
