Internship in Receptionist and Director´s Assistant in a boutique hotel in Menorca

Small boutique hotel in the centre of Mahón city in Menorca. Mahón is worldly known for having one of the best natural ports, and that´s why it has been desired and attacked by many foreign navies. The internship at this hotel will be much more rewarding than in any big hotel, because here you´ll be working directly with the hotel manager.

She will be the one to give you training and supervision. You´ll get to know the reception, but also work in other areas, e.g. as a host / hostess, help with the breakfast service, verify if the rooms are in a perfect state, and attend clients´ requests. The hotel will provide you with a room, and give you a monthly remuneration. It will be a learning experience about hospitality and the Spanish island culture.

The post is divided into several missions for the student in order to have a complete picture of hotel´s business model. The student will rotate between the reception and the bar food service.

– Accommodation :

– Check-in and check-out
– Assistance giving information to the clients , tourist information, hotel information schedules and others.
– Answering internal and external calls.
– Managing multiple daily requests.
– Showing the customers their rooms and welcoming them at the hotel

– Breakfast service

Accomodation: An apartment near the hotel. Private room in an apartment shared with other 3 people. You will have access to the kitchen.
