The company that offers this university internship is a hotel group with resorts in various parts of Spain, including the Balearic Islands and even Madrid: This group of hotels has renovated structures and, essentially, with a staff used to dealing with internship students.

The hotels of this hotel chain usually offer university internships in marketing, reception, catering, cuisine, human resources and even hotel management, all of them through a model of training and accompaniment that is usually led by the Head of Department who, in turn, is the intern’s tutor.

The internship period in hotels in the Balearic Islands, such as Menorca, runs from April to the end of October each year during the sun and beach season.

In all the hotels of the group the working day is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Of course the start of the working day is different for each department.

As a general rule, accommodation, food and remuneration are offered at the hotel in Menorca. The rooms can be inside or outside the hotel, in apartments next to the hotel for example, and are always shared between two or three students.

In the hotel in Madrid, being in the capital, meals and remuneration are offered but not accommodation as it is very easy to find a shared apartment with other students, the price ranges between 300€ and 400€/month.

Internship tasks:

This reception internship in Spain takes place in a resort hotel located on the beautiful island of Menorca, of course, under the supervision of the Area Manager. The main tasks, all aimed at providing attention and care to the customer are:

– Offering information about the hotel and the services offered.
– Attention to the guest on arrival and departure from the Hotel: Check in and Check out.
– Information and sale of excursions to the guest.
– General administration and reception work including the attention of the telephone switchboard.
– Attention and management of complaints from guests.
– Communication in several languages.
– General administrative assistance to the department.

Tourism, communication, business management or related
