This hotel is part of a well-respected chain in the region of Catalunya, and with presence in other parts of Spain such as Andalusia and the Mediterranean coast. This is a company where, for years, many students have been placed at the reception or in the food & beverage department.

Thier team, we should highlight, is young and very well prepared. They have extensive experience with interns, and even some of the current managers used to be interns who were eventually hired after their international internships.

Internship tasks:

This reception internship in Barcelona is carried out in a wonderful 4-star hotel a few minutes away from the beach. The internship is paid, and the hotel also offers accommodation and board to the intern during the whole training experience.

The most important tasks during this customer service internship, always under the supervision of a tutor, are:

  • Receive new clients, resgiter check-ins, allocate rooms.
  • Register check-outs and unblock the rooms.
  • Make sure that all payments are complete before the check-out.
  • Check-in groups of tourists.
  • Give toruist information about Barcelona, the region, and about events and points of interest.
  • Inform about schedules and services of the hotel.
  • Maintain the reception clean and in order.
  • Pass the phonecalls.
  • Solve doubts, handle complaints, and give the best customer service in general.

Tourism, Business, foreign languages, communication, Internationl Relations

Required languages

French – B2
English – B1
Spanish – B1

Desired experience

Valued experience in direct contact with clients, in hotels, or in tourism in general

IT skills

MS Windows, MS Office, Internet, social media

Other requirements

Kind and cheerful personality and customer service orientation will be valued
