We are talking about a 5-star hotel, famous on the Canary Islands for its beautiful structure and fantastic service, one that has provided internship experiences to students from all over Europe over the years; it´s a company who really offers training experience.

Front Office, Booking, Administration, Quality Control, Purchasing and Food&Beverage are only a few departments in which this great luxury tourist company has placed interns since before 2010, always thanks to their wonderful HR coordination and tutors in charge of interns. With many interns at the same time, the experience turns out to be more dynamic.

It is worth mentioning that all interns accepted by this great hotel have free accommodation and 3 meals a day, also provided by the company. The weekly work schedule is 5 days, with 2 days off a week to enjoy in this magnificent place.

Internship tasks:

This reservation internship in Spain in this 5 star hotel seeks a student with communicative as well as administrative skills. This position has a commercial component because the student will negotiate and promote hotel services with potential clients but, at the same time, he or she must record the information in an administrative facets that need great organization and attention to detail.

The main tasks are:

  • Enter all confirmed reservations in the internal system: individual reservations, groups and events.
  • Manage booking information from booking companies and tour operators.
  • Ensure room availability and occupancy in general to update the reservation system permanently.
  • Respond to customers and potential customers both by email and telephone in terms of price information, availability, special conditions for tour operators and others.
  • Send payment requests to customers.
  • Collaborate in the closure of sales and analyze the turnover figures.
  • Request a weekly reservation status from all tour-operator partners.
  • Check that reservations are correct and there is availability for the guests arriving the next day.
  • Promote additional services such as a suite or special welcome packages when in contact with customers and potential customers.

Desired experience

Previous experience in tourism, hotels or sales is a plus.
