Internship in Reception and tourism in a hotel resort in Costa Brava

We are not talking about just a hotel but a whole hotel chain with a strong presence in Spain and its various territories: from the golden beaches in the Mediterranean to the cold mountains—Pyrenees, splendid hotels where for years students have done their internships. 

All their hotels offer paid internships, accommodation and meals. For many years now, most internships have been done at the front office, but also animation positions are usually offered in the summer, as well as in the kitchen and restaurant.

Their mountain hotels are a good offer for fans of winter sports, making it a perfect alternative for ski or snowboard lovers; the beach hotels, by the sea, are the destination of tourists in the summer. A common point, however, is their cuisine which blends regional and international food.

This reception internship in Spain will take place in a beautiful hotel in Costa Brava where, supervised by the head of the department, the student will learn how the reception team works, will improve their level of languages and develop team work skills.

The most important tasks of this internship are:

• offering information to guests about most important tourist attractions in Costa Brava, hotel services, and restaurant and SPA schedules
• registering check-ins and check-outs in the hotel´s software
• allocating rooms to new guests, confirming reservations and informing about hotel services
• keeping the reception area in perfect state, always clean and organised
• answering incoming calls
• solving any doubt, complaint or incident with sympathy, and informing the head of the department about it
• making sure to know about all reservations for the day, and confirming the availability before the guests´arrival
