Internship in Management and commerce – Travel agency in Barcelona

This is a business group with activity in the hotel and entertainment industry. The company, located in the centre of Barcelona, does booking management for its partner hotels and apartment owners, plus the promotion of tourist destinations.

Importantly, this company has years of experience dealing with interns from various parts of Europe, and the internships are paid. Working hours are from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day, with an hour break for lunch at midday. The team is multicultural, multi-lingual and also young and very friendly.

This company is looking for a student for the travel agency’s division to support the manager with the tasks of coordinating groups of tourists. Tourists usually come from England, France and Spain so it is necessary for the fellow to have the ability to express himself in all three languages

The most important tasks during this practice are:

• Collaborate with the management of reservations.
• Resolve issues such as unforeseen booking changes
• assist in the planning of activities for groups of tourists,
• Administrative assistance in general.
• Maintain close and constant communication with customers by providing detailed information on reservations and services.
• Assist in contacting new customers by prospecting and submitting commercial offers and quotations.
