This is an opportunity for students who are looking to improve their English in a beautiful setting to have a professional experience in one of Scotland’s most popular hotel chains. The hotel is willing to be very accommodating in terms of what the student’s tasks will be. The restaurant internship in this hotel has the express aim of teaching the students about the world of hospitality. The student will be part of the team, and, under the supervision of the head of the restaurant, will help in the following tasks:

• Organisation of the room and of the bars before each service. 
• Explanation of the dishes and drinks which are offered daily in the bar and restaurant. 
• Help when there is a buffet by waiting on, and serving the clients. 
• Reception of diners in the entrance to the restaurant and the assignation of tables. 
• Cleaning of public zones in the restaurant. 
• Help with the organisation of cutlery, cups and serviettes. 
• Organisation and cleaning after each service.
