Internship in Cook in 4-star-hotel restaurant in Lyon

Our partner is a very elegant hotel based in Lyon with charming and quiet rooms, modern decor and views of the airstipes or the impressive Lyon-Saint-Exupéry train station.

In the gastronomic capital of France you will discover some of the most refined dishes of the city in the restaurant of the hotel. There is also a free gym with modern exercise machines, a Turkish bath and a sauna. The hotel has the largest center for organizing meetings, seminars, conferences and events in the region. They have five spacious meeting rooms, accommodating up to 300 people, and seven boardrooms, all equipped with audiovisual equipment.

In this luxurious and complete setting, you will find a very rewarding training during your internship, within different departments according to your professional orientation (reception, service, kitchen). It is up to you to take this opportunity by sending us your application!

Under the responsibility of the head of the department, you will be in charge of the kitchen operations such as:

• Gather all the ingredients and materials needed to prepare the dishes;
• Monitor cooking according to directions;
• Preparing dishes (peeling and mincing of vegetables, reduction of sauces, filling of pie shells, …);
• Apply the current health and safety rules;
• Receiving the raw materials;
• Assist with the arrangement of dishes in plates;
• Transmit to room staff;
• Maintain kitchen and adjoining rooms;
• Carry out end-of-service operations.

Fluency in French is required in order to communicate with the team and thus carry out your missions.
