Working within the Holding Company of the College will give a student an interesting insight into the world of business and dealing with insurance companies and a range of different clients. This Company employs more than 300 people and has various different Departments in which people with a plethora of different backgrounds and formations work. They are used to receiving interns and make sure that the intern feels as welcomed as possible into the company’s family.
Internship tasks:
This company is a Holding Company for the College and for the companies that provide services for the members of the college. The insurance company with which the company collaborates is French. For this reason, the Management is looking for a French Secretary to help with communication with this company. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain experience within a professional environment. Some of the tasks that the intern who is successful in the application process will carry out are:
- Look after the CEO’s calendar and keep it updated.
- Prepare and organise meetings.
- Completion of company documentation.
- Respond to telephone calls, filter the calls and pass on appropriate messages.
- Coordination of work between the CEO and their immediate colleagues.
- Communication with the insurance company to plan meetings and the completion of documents.
This is an incredibly prestigious institution with its main offices based in the centre of Barcelona. For a student, this would be a fantastic experience. Make sure that you do not let this chance pass you by!
