We are talking about a 5-star hotel, famous on the Canary Islands for its beautiful structure and fantastic service, one that has provided internship experiences to students from all over Europe over the years; it´s a company who really offers training experience.

Front Office, Booking, Administration, Quality Control, Purchasing and Food&Beverage are only a few departments in which this great luxury tourist company has placed interns since before 2010, always thanks to their wonderful HR coordination and tutors in charge of interns. With many interns at the same time, the experience turns out to be more dynamic.

It is worth mentioning that all interns accepted by this great hotel have free accommodation and 3 meals a day, also provided by the company. The weekly work schedule is 5 days, with 2 days off a week to enjoy in this magnificent place.


Internship tasks:

The internship in organizing events in Spain in this 5 star hotel, seeks a person with great interest and skills to coordinate groups, events and conventions of all kinds: weddings, awards, business events and parties among others. It also requires a student with communication skills, multi-language skills and adaptability that allows him to be flexible both for the clients and for the schedules in which the events take place.

The main tasks are:

  • Present budget and a plan for the realization of an event to potential clients.
  • Track proposals submitted to potential customers.
  • Collaborate during the development of the events and constantly communicate with the departments involved such as kitchen, reception and others.
  • Perform satisfaction test to the clients during the accomplishment of the events to know if they are or are not satisfied.
  • Ensure that billings and payments are made when due.
  • Update the database with detailed information about event organizers, tour operators and other possible client providers.
  • Receive and attend visits made by people that come to the hotel in order to organize a possible event.
  • Attend fairs when the tutor deems it necessary, in order to obtain new contacts and opportunities to organize events.
  • Periodically update the agenda of possible events and events.
  • Create and send mailing campaigns to potential clients or to promote events.
  • Send information to specialized magazines and agencies, always under the supervision of the marketing area, to promote hotel event services.
  • Make sure to have the necessary promotional material as well as the stock required for the events.
  • Prepare informational and host documents in several languages ​​for clients.

Languages, Tourism, Hotel Management, Communication, PR

Required languages

Spanish – B1
English – B1

Desired experience

Previous experience in tourism, PR or hotels is a plus.

IT skills

MS Office, Internet

Other requirements

The person should have an educated and elegant behavior and good communication and customer service skills
